About the Event
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) adeptly uses a variety of "gray zone" activities to encroach on Taiwan and in the East and South China Seas. Â Why should this matter to the U.S.? Â How can the U.S. respond and manage its relationship with China? Please join us for a Luncheon Lecture with YVONNE CHIU as she presents Betwixt and Between: Taiwan in the Shadow of China.
Dr. Yvonne Chiu is a professor at the U.S. Naval War College.  She writes on just war theory and international affairs.  Her book Conspiring with the Enemy: The Ethic of Cooperation in Warfare won the International Studies Association – International Ethics Section Book Award 2021 and the North American Society for Social Philosophy Book Award 2019 and is a Choice Outstanding Academic Title 2021.  She has been a National Fellow at the Hoover Institution, a Member of the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton, NJ), and a professor at the University of Hong Kong.
