COLLECTING TIME: How to Begin Collecting Wristwatches, Pitfalls to Avoid & The Future of the Market
Time & Location
About the Event
With the explosive growth in interest and values for wristwatches in recent years, how can people successfully navigate and enjoy the world of watches? Over cocktails and conversation, Eric Wind, owner of Wind Vintage and previously Vice President and Senior Specialist of Watches for Christie's, will discuss how to begin collecting wristwatches, things to consider when buying pre-owned and vintage watches, and how he expects the market to continue to develop and grow with time. The evening will focus primarily on vintage wristwatches, generally classified as watches made prior to 1980, but he will discuss the current-production wristwatch market, as well.
